Maravilla Smalti Glass Collection

Maravilla by intention is not a curated collection of patterns and colors, but a connection to an ancient mosaic art form, orchestrated by extraordinary craft, utilizing the exquisite material of ‘smalti’ enameled glass. Following centuries old Italian formulas, our studio is the first of its kind in North America to produce this highly specialized and sought after material. ‘Smalti’ means enamel, and this type of handmade glass offers a richer and more varied alternative to other glass mediums, with a subtlety of coloration that creates a painterly appearance. 
 
This studio has been in operation and presided over by the same family for over three quarters of a century. Made by hand, the expansive palette of smalti enameled glass includes hundreds of breathtaking colors coupled with the unparalleled skill of experienced mosaic artists.
